We have been working in SharePoint upgrades as long as its inception and have implemented many projects worldwide for major global clients using SharePoint 2007, SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2013, SharePoint 2016 and Office 365 – SharePoint Online. We also provide SharePoint development services that cover the diverse needs of customers and spans across many industry domains such as Oil and Gas, Energy and Service Industry (Law Firm).

Infimedia’s SharePoint Upgrade Services is designed to assist organizations transitioning from previous versions of Microsoft SharePoint to the newest SharePoint released. We perform SharePoint upgrades and migrations of different complexity using manual, semi-automated and automated approaches coupled with ready-made and custom migration tools. Our SharePoint team will help you move between on-premises versions of SharePoint, as well as relocate your solutions to a cloud or hybrid environment. They will also improve the migrated solution, optimizing its structure and functionality to make your entire deployment more effective.

Infimedia will offer and recommend the ideal SharePoint upgrades and migration implementation services using best practices and also will provide value addition by leveraging our vast experience. Infimedia helps to plan and execute detailed tasks on projects related to that implementation. Our consultant will have to know deep business analysis and SharePoint skills that will be used in performing tasks.

Infimedia is equipped with the flexibility to work on fully managed services and with On-premise. Once the upgrade path is decided, our SharePoint experts offer you best practices consulting to guide you with the latest technologies, resulting in a quick upgrade, lower costs and increased quality.

First, our SharePoint Migration Services team will want to evaluate where you are today and where you want to end up on your SharePoint journey. These initial discussions and discovery will allow the team to make recommendations for licensing, hardware, and information architecture. As part of the discovery portion of this engagement, we will help your team audit your content and determine what should be migrated and what should be left behind. No need to do the heavy lifting on content that is no longer bringing value to your organization. We will also take inventory of SharePoint customizations and third-party solutions at this time, as these may not always migrate cleanly. Finally, we will compare your farm against Microsoft's best practices to determine if there are some additional changes that need to be made when moving day is finally based on requirements. The deliverable out of this portion of the engagement is a SharePoint Migration Plan that includes information and recommendations on all of the subjects mentioned above. The next stretch of road in your Microsoft migration journey is testing. Our SharePoint Migration Services Team will perform a test migration according to the plan defined during the Audit portion of the engagement. This phase is focused on identifying issues early so that we can remediate them before we execute the actual production migration. Your Power Users and technology team are highly involved after the test migration, validating that their sites, content and customizations make it to the new SharePoint solution as expected. Issues are triaged, processed and the plan updated accordingly. Another important aspect of the test is tracking how long it takes to execute the plan. This data allows the entire SharePoint Migration team to determine how large a window is needed to successfully transition to the new environment.

Finally, after all the planning, testing and remediation of the SharePoint Migration Project Plan it is time to do some change management before the heavy lifting begins. Once the organization is well aware that a big change is the migration project to make sure that the plan is executed as documented, deadlines are being hit and the solution is being tested as it becomes available. With such a critical initiative underway, communication is about to succeed. If you are considering an Office 365 SharePoint migration, several special considerations need to be made. First, understanding the trade-offs and limitations of the online system is critical to avoiding user confusion. Second, you’ll need to think about any customizations you have made to your current on-premises SharePoint server farm. Is there any custom code? Are there any custom SharePoint apps that you’ve created? In all likelihood, these applications will need to be updated in order to perform a reliable SharePoint to Office 365 migration. The SharePoint online environment is very different from the on-premises environment, especially when it comes to custom code and the method by which custom apps are published, deployed and run. You may find that leveraging the “client-side object model” (CSOM for short) is one approach. You might also want to consider the new “SharePoint Framework” for building replacement apps.
